4) Shivkalin water Storage Programme

Shivkalin Water Storage Programme is sanctioned by Government for strengthening of water sources. Due to exploitation of ground water and deeper sources the ground water level is going deep day by day. To increase ground water level and keeping source alive. This programme is carried by Government of Maharashtra.

Following source strengthening measures can be taken under this head.

1.  By Roof-top rain water harvesting.

2.  Desilting of dams, wells, deepening of wells, check dams etc.

3. Constructing village tanks, Gabian bandhara, Cement bandhara, Under ground bandhara etc.

Funds are released for SWSP by Government. This Scheme is implemented by village water supply and Sanitation comittee with 10 % public contribution.
